3 – 18 July 2025 | Microscope, London.
This exhibition at Microscope builds on the first issue of DELUS – Journal for Landscape and Urban Studies, titled “Chasing Water.” The issue explores the ways water is sensed, shaped, regulated, and represented through infrastructures, bodies, and territories. Responding to these themes, the exhibition brings together visual material from the journal, translating its editorial inquiry into spatial form. By activating Microscope as a public-facing venue, the show strengthens the link between the Institute of Landscape and Urban Studies (LUS), ETH Zürich, and a broader cultural discourse, offering a tangible platform for dialogue with practitioners, artists, and local audiences. It brings the spatial and ecological questions explored at the Institute into a broader field of engagement. “Chasing Water” invites visitors to consider water not as a passive element but as a designed, contested, and often constrained presence in the built environment. The exhibition features contributions from DELUS editors, collaborators, and guests, and will be accompanied by informal reading sessions in the space.
