This article traces the shift in urban governance of Belgrade’s recent megaprojects using the method of discourse analysis of daily newspapers.
As a result, the paper reveals the ideological landscapes that nest specific actor-networks and depicts case-specific conflicts and coalitions, decision-making patterns, and power structures. Ultimately, the article elucidates the variegated form of neoliberalism in a post-socialist society, attending to some similarities and differences of the concept as being applied in other socio-spatial settings.
